About Your Chef
My name is Laurie Benner.  Welcome to my website.  I am a native of Southern California and I
moved to the Washington DC Metro area about twenty years ago.  From an Italian and Hungarian
background, I was raised believing that “Food is Love” – and there was plenty of both to go
around in our home!  My passion for food started when I was a teenager and I have enjoyed
cooking for family and friends ever since.  

I have always been an adventurous cook and have explored many different cuisines - Indian,
Chinese, Italian, Mexican and Hungarian, to name a few.  

I am presently continuing my culinary education at L’Academie de Cuisine.  I am fully insured, a
Certified Food Manager in the State of Maryland and a proud member of
the American Personal and Private Chef Association and the American Culinary Federation.

My reason for starting A Fabulous Feast is simple:  to do what I love.  I take great satisfaction in
knowing that I am not only providing nutritious and delicious food, but also improving my clients'
quality of life and giving them more time to do the things they truly enjoy.
